It was a sunny day yesterday. My heart was full of hope about that day. With a prayer to my Lord, I went to office at 7.30 am. Earlier than everyday departure time.
Since I still went to office using company car, I have to take toll BSD to go to Cilandak Barat. Toll BSD and JORR are expensive toll way. From BSD to Pondok Ranji, I have to pay IDR 5500. Then, entering JORR, another IDR 6000 has to be given to toll gate keeper. Thank God, by next week my motorcycle will be on duty again. IDR 100000 a week without toll tariff.
Indonesia is full of anomaly. If other countries maintain toll ways that have zero jam, toll way in Indonesia shows the opposite fact. Traffic jams are everyday experience especially from Kebun Jeruk to Tomang. Yesterday, I experienced a traffic jam on toll BSD.
I have no expectation to have a traffic jam on my trip to office. But, I switch on my cameraphone and begin taking the picture of toll situation that day. Pondok Ranji toll gate was the first target. Pictures below will tell you that traffic jam moment.
Now, what was the cause of the traffic jam?
There are police officers being interviewed by press. I could not take the picture because Suzuki APV in my front left covered them. But, picture below will give you another proof.
There was a television station car. After watching news on television I thought that the policemen were anticipating a protest from a family that has not been paid by PT Jasa Marga. That family's land was taken by Jasa Marga to build the toll way but PT Jasa Marga has not paid for the price. The toll way blockade has been done more than two times but payment never been conducted.
