Well, i am a Chinese, and tried to get the phone when I was on vacation back in China, though the price was still high, around $1000. Then, i heard T-mobile would carry the phone with ungraded features and much more memory, also would go with 16G SD card. So i decided to wait. It was a tough time though, but worth it.
I got the phone on the first day that it got released with full retail price when I was on Spring Break in Denver. I didn’t think it would be sold out so quickly in about 4 hours. Then I found out that Amazon has a better deal and would allow me to do the upgrade and save me about $250 So I decided to return it and do with Amazon. After returned it back to T-mobile store back in L.A, it turned out Amazon didn’t allow me to process the check out. I contacted the local store, telling them I would like to get the phone back. It was so embarrassing! The employee told me they already sent it out to the company to do refurbish, and there was no more device available. I was so upset, and had to wait till they have inventories. I called every local story, and was told it was out of the stock. Finally,I called one store at 11AM on Monday, and was told there were only 4 left,so I drove there immediately within 10 minutes, and got the phone ultimately. There were only two left, and I was so luck to own one. Though I have been through all these inconvenience, but still feel happy. Tell you what, It does worth it!
It is fast and good looking. I also called customer service for the unlock code, and was told I will get the email with the unlock code in 10 business days. They only verify your identity as a customer of T-mobile, and are willing to offer the unlock code without any additional cost, which is much better that the I phone and AT&T that you must, have to stick with AT&T. Gladly, I will be able to use the phone when I get back to China for vacation in summer, and I am so happy with all the features of the phone.
After a few days’ experience with HD2, I would like to say, this is the most awesome phone in the market right now with a very good price. People who would like to use it with other companies, such as AT&T, would have no concern as it can be unlocked with the manufacture unlock code without any additional cost and risk.
Using the brand new HTC HD2 brings me a lot pleasure and makes me so different from others, who is using I phone or blackberry, which you can see in everywhere. People keep telling me how luck i am that I actually got the phone twice, some of them are still trying hard to get one.
Believe me, it rocks, and makes you outstanding!

I bought this phone thinking it was going to be a really good phone, but I’m not to happy with the windows mobile 6.5,it freezes alot.I really wish I waited for the htc evo,it’s obviously the better choice.

Better than iphone or blackberry! This phone is slim, heavy duty, has awesome camera and a huge screen! I’ve seriously never had or seen a better phone than this!

This phone looks beautiful and feels great, however it gets annoying VERY quickly– see the cons below.
PRO:
- Internet sharing. You can share your 3G connection over bluetooth or Wifi (although T-Mobile removed the wifi sharing application). This is the same functionality that you can get with JoikuSpot using Symbian phones.
- Wide screen, clear display. Plays MP4 videos (same as iPod).
- Exchange email is fairly reliable. However I couldn’t get HTML email to work (this is reportedly a bug in in Windows Mobile 6.5). My emails are all in text.
- Takes great pictures and decent video.
CON:
- Battery life. It’s ridiculously low. You’ll barely get 4 hours if you use the phone regularly to check/send email (and much less if you play videos). If you’re a heavy cell user this is a deal breaker.
- Sensitive touch screen. Sometimes buttons just click on their own if a hair on your finger touches it. If you don’t use a headset, you’ll be pressing buttons as the screen touches your face.
- Erratic signal. It seems to switch randomly between “3G” and “E” (emergency) even with strong signal. Not often enough to be disruptive, but enough times to be annoying and break internet connectivity. e.g. Forget about staying connected in MSN messenger for long periods of time.
- Sometimes MSN messenger would stop functioning and you need to power cycle the device to get it working again. (you NEVER get this problem on a blackberry).
- Does not support UMA. No T-Mobile hotspot.
- Internet explorer is a joke. It doesn’t render a lot of sites properly. The Opera browser (included) is better.
The only redeeming feature from this phone is the internet sharing– and that’s if you can plug your phone to an outlet. Apart from that, there’s nothing about this phone that sets it apart from the competitor… yes it’s pretty on the outside (e.g. watch raindrops and wipers on your home page if your local weather forecast is rainy), but once you use it long enough, you’ll realize lipstick on a pig is still a pig. Wait for Windows 7.

I bought this phone less than two weeks ago and am already having issues with it. The battery died and when I was able to charge it and turn it on again the phone wouldn’t accept my password. HTC customer support’s “solution” was to do a hard reset. Obviously this “solution” is just HTC’s way of avoiding actually fixing the problem. They even claim that this was the first they’d heard of the problem, although there are many posts on forums describing this. The phone may have impressive specs, but until problems like this are worked out I would considers something more reliable.

thanks for sharing, u learn something every day
Microsoft isn’t any stranger to having companions galore in the cellphone business, but its lineup of producers for the upcoming, surprisingly promising Windows Cellphone 7 launch isn’t any much less impressive. After plenty of rumoring, Microsoft has confirmed that Dell and HTC might be making Home windows Cellphone 7 phones, along with ASUS, LG, and Samsung who had already been confirmed. All of those companies should have their stamp on hardware by the end of the year, with the launch of the OS nonetheless vaguely slated for the “holidays” Now we have little question that every one five manufacturers can build some compelling, horny hardware, however we’re notably enthused to see Dell actually moving into the game after the impressive Streak and that drool worthy leak a short while back. learn more at http://www.wp7forum.com followers group.
Howdy, i read your weblog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just wondering if you get lots of spam comments? If so how do you avoid it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much recently it’s driving me mad so any assistance is very much appreciated.
