A Plan To Write A Book

I have thought about writing a book since three months ago. I have not started it yet but I have had a framework about what I want to write.

My book will tell how to stop smoking. People think that stop smoking is a very hard thing to do. My experience proved the opposite, stop smoking is very easy to do. We only need to control our mind to stop our smoking activities. We need no substitution to our cigarettes being thrown away. We can stop that useless activity at no cost. Once again, at no cost.

I always believe that our mind is full of miraculous power. We can do everything, achieve everything we want, and so on, if we can control our mind. You believe with "you are what you think you are", don't you? If you do, you just collect a huge capital in your life buffet. Keep it to flame in your heart. After believing that, you have to transfer the belief to your heart. Yes, like a faith that sometimes omitting your rationale reasoning to the Gods existence.

I wish I could finish my book in 3 to 6 months.

Restructuring Program Management Office To Give PM a Career Path

I am on my way to submit a proposal on project management organization development to the Management. In my view, Project Managers have been needed to manage our projects that showed a positive rise in terms of numbers and complexity. So far, we only assigned Project Coordinator to lead project delivery. A PC sometimes is involved in technical areas. That leads PC to busy to do technical things and lack of time to take the managerial function.

A Project Manager is needed to hold all of project related issues in his own hand and communicate closely with stakeholders. Everything from A to Z of the project is expected to be his knowledge. That will be different from a project coordinator that have limited authority and responsibility to the project. In some cases, a project coordinator that on paper is labeled by project manager to show that the project is treated with a professional conducts, are lack of pride in front of customers. They said that they were project manager but they did a technical things themselves.

This organization has to move forward and develop a career path in project management to show the engineers that there are many career alternatives to choose.

Due to my organization size, I need only two or three project managers that in my opinion will be capable to handle 30 to 60 projects a year. PMs will be supported by a Program Management Administration Staff and Technical Documentation Staffs.

Indonesia was acknowledged as a producer of coffee. The quality of Indonesian origin coffee was admitted by international market. And, to let you know, coffee has been exported from Indonesia since The Dutch colonialism era. Since hundreds years ago coffee from Indonesia has satisfied European tongues. Europe was the first market of every Indonesian origin products during Dutch colonialism. No one argued about the quality of Indonesian origin coffee that time.

Unfortunately, recently coffee from Indonesia was rejected by many importer countries. They know are questioning quality of coffee from Indonesia that has turned from high to low level. More specific, they said that coffee from Indonesia has lost its original taste.

What was happened with Indonesian coffee?

From Media Indonesia (printed edition) today, I read that Indonesian coffee exporter mixed coffee originated from different plantation areas. That practice of combining different coffee resulted the loss of original taste of Indonesian coffee. Shipped coffee was not the same with submitted sample. I don't see what Indonesian coffee exporters did was right. They dig their own graves by doing unfair business.

Winning back the market trust is not easy. Indonesian coffee exporters have to convince themselves and their importers partner that they will not mixed different coffee again. Indonesian coffee importers, then, have to market every variety of coffee and brand them with its origin source name. Java Coffee, Toraja Coffee, Medan Coffee, and so on. What will become barrier is the fact that the brand Toraja Coffee and Gayo Coffee have been claimed by other countries. But, it is always available another way to break that barrier. Business is always full of creativity.

I am a motoGP lover. Watch the motoGP race on television is an activity I have to do. Another things can be delayed but not that super two wheels race. My favorite rider is Valentino Rossi, the 5 times world champion.

To show my hobby in watching motoGP up, I have published a motoGP blog written in my local language, Bahasa Indonesia. I know that motoGP is always visited by motogp lovers though only a few of comments left by visitors. My thought tell me not to stop. I believe that Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner will show us their hottest rivalry in motoGP circuits.

Then, to log that hottest rivalry, I published a new blog: Valentino Rossi VS Casey Stoner. That blog will be written in English to gain wider visitors coverage. I hope that motoGP lovers will witness Rossi and Stoner's rivalry with a brand new paradigm. An Indonesian Paradigm.

Blood Fever. Oh No, Bloody Fever

Blood Fever is the second novel in the Young Bond series depicting Ian Fleming's Superspy James Bond as teenager in the 1930s.

Yes, that novel! But, on this while I will not talking about that novel. I want to talk about a dangerous fever disease that has killed hundreds to thousands people in Indonesia.

Indonesian people call that disease by "demam berdarah" or bloody fever. Medical name for it is dengue fever. It is an acute febrile diseases caused by virus serotypes from the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae. A species of mosquito --Aedes Aegepty -- transmits the virus to human body and made uncured infected people will die in 3 to 7 days. A very dangerous disease.

My friend has two sons. The first son was a nine years old, an obedient and docile son. His neighbors knew him and admitted him as a good child. He was  different from others children. He was very helpful and patience also. He was died last January 30th because of dengue fever. He was late to be cured. His parents did not know that he was infected by dengue fever virus because no indications was clearly shown by that disease. Besides fever, no red dots found on his skin.

His first son was died by dengue fever. Now, his second son is inpatient because of the same disease. Not only his son, his neighbor daughter is also inpatient in the same hospital. Not long ago, his neighbor -- an adult person -- was also inpatient because dengue fever. There are many victims of that disease.

I am very afraid of dengue fever. From the news I read, the virus has mutated in to smarter virus. If old dengue fever has fever as symptom, the new dengue fever is not marked by fever. People will late to know that they or their family member are infected by this new dengue fever.

Global warming is believed to have negative impacts to human health. Ferocious mosquitos will come. The hotter habitat of mosquitos is influencing them to adapt and change to ferocious mosquitos. So far, global warming is spoken by environment experts from developed countries. Most of experts came from USA. But, American Government gave no commitment in the reduction of carbon emission, the factor that is believed as the main cause of global warming.

Developed countries contribute the biggest carbon emission to the atmosphere. Their fossil energy consumption bigger than the rest of the world. But, it seems that they have no will to decelerate the global warming. They in a shameless way asked developing countries to stop the deforestation to stop global warming. How come? Developing countries have to develop their economy and forest utilization is needed in the development process.

If global warming has a contribution to the virus mutation, then we are in Indonesia has harvest the result. A new dengue fever virus variant that gives no seen indication to dengue fever infected sufferer has come.
