I often heard people saying that you can generate traffic to your list using these free methods. But after years of experience in the area of affiliate marketing, I find this statement somehow a bit misleading because there are no such things as free methods of traffic generation.
It is either trade off between money and time. The so call free methods are those that require your time and effort to get traffic and the paid methods are those that require you to put in money to buy traffic. In a nutshell, there are no traffic generation methods that do not need your time or money.
Once you understand the meaning of free methods, you will be more willing to put in your time to make it work. Sometime free traffic generation methods works better than paid methods because of your consistent effort that gives your advertisement or website more exposure compared to paid method.
However, which method to use depends greatly on your needs and financial ability. If you have a lot of money to spend in advertisement, you can use all the paid methods of traffic generation such as Google Adwords, Solo Ads, Co-Reg services and so on. If you do not have a lot of money to spend but in turn are willing to spend time to generate traffic to your website, you can use those so call free methods such as article writing, forum and traffic exchange services and many more.
In the end, the results that you are going to get depend greatly on your effort and decision. My personally advice is to master one paid method and one free method to generate traffic to your website.
